Following a relatively quiet previous week, Team 6 was immediately faced with a very different scenario upon arrival. The tone for the entire week was set on day one with an immediate call-out to a severe wildfire in Valença.
The call-out to Valença proved to be the start of an intensive and busy working week. Our crews were constantly called upon, both at our home base in Paredes de Coura and in the surrounding region. The team responded on multiple occasions and for extended periods to a wide range of emergency calls, with crews operating on the ground both during the day and at night.
Due to the sustained pressure and the variety of incidents, the team once again played a crucial role in supporting the local fire brigades and ensuring the safety of the region.ConclusionDespite the heavy physical strain and minimal sleep, Team 6 carried out the mission professionally and ensured the continuity of our presence in Portugal.
