The final rotation of this summer season is over, and what a one it was… Team 6 really had to push themselves to the limit.
In the Coimbra region, severe weather struck, bringing a wave of intense wildfires. In the space of just a few days, our lads had to tackle no fewer than five major, intense forest fires. After several sleepless nights in a row, they raced from one call-out to the next. As well as the huge blazes and several smaller fires, early this morning – to top it all off – they also attended a serious road accident (a car crashing into a lamppost).
This team truly gave it their all, showed real grit and proved exactly what our emergency services personnel are made of.
To Team 6: we take our hats off to you and have enormous respect for your tremendous dedication during this gruelling final week. Now get some well-deserved rest. And to all the teams from the past season and our Portuguese bombeiros: muito obrigado for the rock-solid cooperation!
