Last Saturday, Team 2 completed its mission and returned home safely.
In terms of actual interventions, it was a relatively quiet week for Team 2. Our team responded to six medical emergencies and assisted at three wildfires.
However, the team made the most of the quieter moments to hone their operational skills and further strengthen ties with the local emergency services. The team also participated in two major training sessions: a targeted exercise in forest firefighting and a technical rescue scenario.
In addition to the exercises, there was also time for physical challenges and team-building. The team undertook a strenuous hike along and through the river and had the opportunity to visit the helicopter base in Arcos de Valdevez.
ERA-BE vzw would like to thank its Portuguese colleagues for their excellent cooperation and the members of Team 2 for their professionalism, dedication and team spirit throughout the past week.
