Following an intensive week, ERA-BE’s Team 1 has successfully completed its mission in Paredes de Coura, Portugal. During the operation, our staff were on standby day and night to support the local emergency services during a period of heightened risk of wildfires.
During the mission, the team was called out to five wildfires, where, together with their Portuguese colleagues, they made an active contribution to fighting the fires and protecting people and the natural environment.
In addition to the operational deployments, there was also a strong focus on training and collaboration. Exercises and a continuous exchange of knowledge and experience provided a unique opportunity to gain a better understanding of each other’s working methods and to share expertise.
Following a successful week, Team 1 handed over to Team 2, which is continuing the mission in Paredes de Coura. ERA-BE looks back with pride on the dedication, professionalism and commitment of all team members and would also like to thank the Portuguese partners for their excellent cooperation and warm welcome.
