BBHA-112 and ERA-BE Establish Strategic Partnership

Emergency Response Alliance Belgium (ERA-BE) and BBHA-112 have officially entered into a new cooperation agreement, strengthening their shared commitment to supporting emergency responders both in Belgium and abroad.

The agreement was signed last week by Dominiek D’Haene, Federal President of BBHA-112, and Michael De Nijs, President of ERA-BE, in the presence of David Coppens, Deputy of the Province of East Flanders.

This partnership brings together two organisations with a common objective: supporting, connecting and strengthening professionals and volunteers working within emergency response and pre-hospital care.

ERA-BE is internationally active and deploys Belgian volunteer firefighters to Portugal each year, where they work alongside local emergency services in the response to wildfires and other natural disasters. These international deployments are built on cooperation, knowledge sharing and solidarity across borders.

Through this new partnership, BBHA-112 and ERA-BE will strengthen each other’s networks, expertise and visibility, creating new opportunities for cooperation at both national and international level.
The agreement also reflects a broader shared ambition: to build stronger connections between emergency responders, encourage the exchange of experience and expertise, and contribute to the continued development and recognition of those working on the frontline of emergency care and disaster response.

For ERA-BE, this partnership represents another important step in expanding a strong network of organisations that share the same values of professionalism, solidarity, cooperation and service.
